Like we need another Blog in the Blogosphere....

I have chosen Courier type because my first tatoo is written in that font and I just love it. Welcome to my blog. I have spent alot of time checking out other blogs and figured there might be a need for just one more. I plan to rant about DC living, rave about new bars and restaurants, post photos of my kids and go on endlessly about vegan recipes. 

About me: 40, female. Married, fiercely liberal. Two kids - D., girly 7 and A., boy 5. I have too many friggin' pets: 4 cats and 2 dogs. We live in the lovely yet horribly underappreciated Anancostia neighborhood of Washington, DC. For the past 4 years I was a birth doula and co-owned a birth services company, Belly Birth Services LLC. It was amazing, rewarding and exhausting work. After my minor midlife crisis (which convienently corresponded with my 40th birthday) I decided to get out of the birthin' biz and go back to school. My adorable husband works at University of the District of Columbia and I can get free tuition! I hope to return to school in the Spring and get an AA in Mortuary Science.
